Eligibility

  • The hackathon is open only to students currently enrolled in Grades 7–12 or equivalent secondary/high school levels at the time of registration.

  • Participants under 18 years old require parental or guardian consent to be submitted before the Event, which must cover participation, use of photos, videos and recordings that depict the Participants during the Event, and waiver of liability insofar as the relevant injury or loss is not directly caused by the School, including its employees, and/or the Event Committee and its members.

 

Registration & Payment

  • Registration shall be confirmed only after payment has been successfully received.

 

Refund Policy

Standard Refunds

  • Refund requests made before the refund deadline (August 1, 2026, 11:59 PM) will be eligible for a refund, less any processing or administrative fees. A clear reason for the refund request must be provided.

  • To request a refund, Participants must contact sispik.hacks@gmail.com and include their full name and the reason for the refund request.

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 14 business days via the original payment method, unless otherwise agreed with the Participant or guardian.

  • No refunds will be provided after the refund deadline.

 

Force Majeure

The Event Committee is not responsible for any loss, damage, or inconvenience arising from the delay, modification, or cancellation of the Event due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • natural disasters,

  • internet outages,

  • government restrictions,

  • public health emergencies,

  • power failures,

  • venue issues.

If the Event is cancelled due to a Force Majeure event, the Event Committee will endeavour to provide a partial refund of the registration fee, less any non-recoverable costs already incurred.

 

No-show Policy

  • Teams are required to attend all mandatory sessions, including registration, briefings, the workshop, project presentations and Q&A, as specified in the official Event rundown or otherwise communicated by the Event Committee.

  • Teams that fail to attend any mandatory session without the prior approval of the Event Committee may be disqualified from the Event.

 

Participant Conduct and Behaviour

Participants are expected to maintain a respectful, professional, and inclusive environment.

Participants must not:

  • harass, discriminate against, or intimidate others,

  • use abusive, offensive, or inappropriate language,

  • damage venue property or equipment,

  • disrupt sessions, judging, or presentations,

  • engage in cheating or dishonest conduct,

  • violate any local laws or regulations, including School regulations.

  • record or take pictures of others without their consent.

The Event Committee reserves the right to remove or disqualify any Participant whose behaviour is deemed inappropriate, unsafe, or disruptive without refund.

 

Submitted Project

AI Usage Policy

AI may be used. However, any usage of AI must be fully explained to the judges during the presentation, including how it was used, why it was used, and the ethical considerations behind the usage. If AI is used but not disclosed, and it is detected, the Event Committee has the right to deem the project ineligible for judgement / winning a prize. 

 

Plagiarism & Integrity

Contestants must be respectful towards the works of other creators, so they must be  transparent about inspiration (code, idea, etc) used in the project (if any). It should be fully explained during the presentation, for example how the inspiration helped develop their final outcome and how their work differs. 

 

Intellectual Property

  • Participants retain all ownership and intellectual property rights of their submitted projects, subject to the terms and conditions stated herein.

  • The Event Committee and SIS-PIK do not guarantee the confidentiality of any submitted project. Participants should only submit information that they are comfortable making public.

  • By participating, Participants grant the Event Committee and SIS-PIK a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence, for an unlimited duration unless revoked in writing to:

    • showcase project names, screenshots, demos, and presentations,

    • use photos/videos from the event for promotional purposes, and

    • feature submissions on websites or social media with credit.

  • Participants are responsible for ensuring that their projects do not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any third party. If third party assets are incorporated into, the necessary licenses or permissions for such use must be secured, and all third party intellectual property must be clearly attributed.

  • The non-confidentiality disclaimer above notwithstanding, the judges, the Event Committee and SIS-PIK will treat unreleased project details as confidential to the extent reasonably practicable for judging and/or evaluation purposes during the competition.

 

Submission Requirements

  • Each team must submit their project before the submission deadline which shall be August 9, 2026 (7:00 PM).

  • Late submissions will not be accepted and may result in disqualification from judging. 

  • Submitted projects must be the original work of the registered team, created within the Event timeframe, except for any third-party materials, publicly available code, open-source software, datasets, APIs, libraries, templates, AI-generated content, or other external resources used, all of which must be disclosed to the judges.

 

Judging

Judges have access to the contestants’ projects as soon as it is submitted via Devpost, however the actual judging period is on August 10, 2026.

Prizes

Cash prizes along with certificates (physical and digital) will be awarded to the three winning teams.

Prize amounts are as follows:

  • 1st place - Rp 2.000.000

  • 2nd place - Rp 1.500.000

  • 3rd place - Rp 1.000.000

The cash prize for each winning team will be divided equally among the registered team members. Each Participant may choose to receive their individual prize share either in cash or by bank transfer. Digital certificates will be sent to each Participant’s registered email address, and physical certificates will be distributed by the Event Committee.

 

Technical Issues

  • The Event Committee will make reasonable efforts to provide stable internet, power, and venue facilities, but neither the Event Committee nor SIS-PIK are liable for loss of work, data, or progress arising from technical failures, power outages, or internet disruptions beyond their reasonable control.

  • Participants are strongly encouraged to back up their work regularly. 

 

Health & Safety

  • Participants must follow the School safety guidelines and instructions from Event Committee members and the School staff all times.

  • Any injury, illness, or safety incident occurring during the Event must be reported immediately to the nearest School staff.

  • Except where caused  the gross negligence or wilful misconduct of the SIS-PIK or its employees are not liable for personal injury, illness, loss, theft, or damage to personal property occurring during the Event. 

  • By signing the parental/guardian consent form, the parent or guardian of a Participant under 18 agrees to indemnify the SIS-PIK against claims arising from their child’s participation in the Event, except where caused by the gross negligence or wilful misconduct of SIS-PIK employees

 

  • By participating in the Event, Participants (and, for Participants under 18, their parent or guardian) consent to being photographed and/or recorded during the Event.

  • Photos, videos, and recordings may be used by SIS-PIK for promotional, archival, or reporting purposes on SIS-PIK’s official channels, including but not limited to social media, websites, and newsletters.

  • Participants or guardians who do not wish to be photographed or recorded must notify the Event Committee in writing before the Event; reasonable accommodations will be made where possible.

 

Disqualification

  • The Event Committee and/or the School reserves the right to disqualify any Participant or team, without refund, for violations of these Terms & Conditions.

  • Disqualification decisions made by the Event Committee and/or the School are final. 

 

Governing Law

  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Any disputes arising from the Event will first be referred to SIS-PIK management for resolution.

  • In the event that an amicable resolution is not reached within 60 (sixty) days of such dispute arising, it will be finally resolved through the Indonesian National Arbitration Center (Badan Arbitrase Nasional Indonesia - BANI).
